This is the first entry in a blog which should chart my progress through the Learning in a Digital Age (LiDA) suite of micro-courses. I am following this programme primarily for my own interest and to explore better (or at least, different) ways to study online. I have been variously a teacher, engineer, financial consultant and small business owner along with many other, less interesting, occupations. Perhaps more pertinent is my interest in--my wife might say, obsession with--online learning that has lead me to complete over 200 courses to date. I anticipate that this will be a challenging course as I am not naturally social in my learning nor do I habitually use social media. One new element I am introducing is the use of mobile apps, having finally broken and migrated to a smart phone.
